		<description>From the grammar used by supposed high school graduates, I&#039;d say maybe the equivalent of a year or two. Grammar seems to be a lost art. The &#039;all aspects&#039; as noted in a previous answer seem to take the lion&#039;s share of the class time - grammar is given short shrift.

One of the problems is that the grammar used by the teachers is sadly deficient. If your child/grandchild/nephew/whatever gets a written communication from school, take a close look at it. If it&#039;s more than two paragraphs long, I&#039;ll bet there&#039;s at least one error in it. 

It&#039;s a sad state of affairs.</description>
