thank you so much this is the best video i’ve ever seen for this lesson
it was very useful thanks a lot … you are great Jennifer
In regards to this sentence
“Life has been crazy for the past two months.”
Doesn’t this mean that life was crazy in the past and only lasted for two months? So it only happened in the past and does not continue in the present since you said “past two months”.
Which means that present perfect tense is used to emphasize that an action happened in a past and it implies a duration of time which could be a day, month, or infinity.
I’m just wondering.
Present perfect is used if you want to say that something has been going on in the past but is STILL linked to the present and may continue into the future…so the sentence is ok meaning that yesterday was the last day of those two months…but there are more months to come (you are in between)…and life continues to be crazy. For past only you would use Past simple or perfect which have no present conection. At least that’s how they taught us =D
