H Jennifer, Your lessons are wonderful!Thanks! I do have a question about the stress patterns of phrasal verbs. Your rule is to place the stress on the particle when it’s separated from the verb by a noun object. But I always heard people say “Take your SHOES off” (stress on SHOES) or “Put the DRESS on” (stress on DRESS). It seems to me that stressing the particles here would make them contrastive (ie “ON” instead of “OFF’” etc). I’m a bit confused. Would you please clarify? Thanks! Ken

I’ve been to St. Petersburg several times, and it’s a wonderful city to visit.

The song I played was actually Polish. The few Russian songs I can play, I play with more mistakes. Russian songs are challenging, though beautiful.
