"Which" should be "in which"
He insisted that John make an oral report immediately.
WHICH (should be "in which")
d) make
First part… Which should be ‘on which’
Second part…. b) made
which should be ‘that’ and its C–its a trick trying to get you to make the tenses agree and choose B, but immediately implies that it is happening right now, so its present tense
1 — WHICH (should be ‘in which’)
2 — d
–> it is in the simple present subjunctive (subjunctive is when one wants to express the importance of something)
–> I guess it could also be b, if it was intended to be in the simple past subjunctive, but this would sound like ‘he’ insisted a while ago and that John’s done the report, almost as if someone is recalling something bad that a teacher did a few days/weeks ago
I hate questions such as this, as it could be either made or make as there’s no indication as to tense.
It’s not WHICH but IN WHICH….
d) ……John make an oral report……
Singular noun and verb.
He insisted that John _made___ an oral report immediately
well the reason is that bcos the word ‘insisted’ is in the past tense form and the word ‘that’ comes after this word
