What is the best English grammar book out there?
I’m looking for some good grammar books for intermediate and advance level. The book must have tons of exercises and answers for me to correct my exercises. Plus I wish to obatin a book where it is strictly a grammar reference book with no exercises but lots of excellent explanations about how to correct my texts, how to stop doing stucture errors and syntax errors.

For exercises, I would try Harvey’s Revised English Grammar – it’s on old grammar book they used to use, like in the one-room schoolhouses. I bought it for homeschooling my kids, and the exercises are wonderful. For a reference text, I would try Elements of Style by Strunk & White. You should be able to find it at amazon, but it’s also available in full text online.
Try Longman, I used them for my A/AS Levels.. You may try Cambridge University Press but I prefer Longman
My Editing professor recommended "Nitty gritty Grammar" for the class last semester. I didn’t picked it up personally, but many of my classmates said it’s useful.
